If you are checking this page, you have probably received your letter informing you that your session proposal was accepted for National Middle School Association's 35th Annual Conference and Exhibit (NMSA08).

Concurrent Session Presenters
Congratulations on the acceptance of your session for NMSA's 35th Annual Conference & Exhibit. Acceptance packets were mailed on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. If you did not receive your packet, please contact Douglas Herlensky at dherlensky@nmsa.org and a new packet will be mailed to you.
What happens now?
In your packet, you should have received the following items:

- Presenter Registration Form
- Handout Form
- Book Sales Form
Presenter Agreement Form
Please mail or fax your completed form no later than May 23, 2008. If you have co-presenters, you can add them to your agreement form and attach additional pages if necessary. Also, please note that there are check boxes next to the various parts of the Program Book Info section. Please check the box next to each line that you want to exclude from the printed material. Presenter Registration Form
Presenters receive a 50% discount on their conference registration. The form you received reflects this price. This is also where you order Audio/Visual equipment for use in your session. NMSA subsidizes the cost of A/V items and makes the following items available for you to order:
- Display Board (complimentary)—This is a large cork board for you to use to pin up display items. Presenters are NOT permitted to tape or pin anything on the walls of meeting room. For this reason, we offer you this display board, but it must be ordered to ensure one will be in your meeting room.
- Overhead Projector/Screen (complimentary)—This is the overhead projector schools have been using for years that require the creation of transparencies to use. NMSA will provide this at no cost, but you must order it to make sure it is available in your session.
- Screen Only (complimentary)—This includes a projection screen and a place to put your own projector. This will also include a power strip to plug in your own computer and projector. The cost of renting an LCD projector may be prohibitive for some presenters. For this reason, you are welcome to bring your own and use it for your session. To ensure that your room is set properly, please check this box.
- Flip Chart/Markers ($10)—Flip chart paper on an easel (with markers) is available for a nominal rental cost. This is not self-adhesive paper. If you want to order this item and also want to post this information in the room, you should also order a display board.
- VCR/Monitor ($50)—A VHS player and a TV screen is available for rent for your session. If the session is too large for a standard television screen, the VHS player will be connected to a projector at no extra cost.
- DVD/Monitor ($50)—A DVD player and a TV screen is available for rent for your session. If the session is too large for a standard television screen, the DVD player will be connected to a projector at no extra cost.
- LCD Projector ($120)—An LCD projector is available for rent for your session. NMSA does not offer laptop computers for your session, so you will need to bring your own.

Handout Form
It is crucial that all presenters send a copy of their session handouts to NMSA no later than September 21, 2008. It is our plan to offer ALL session handouts to participants electronically. For this reason, we prefer to receive the handouts electronically, but can accept paper copies as well. Please plan to prepare your handouts accordingly.

Book Sales Form
If you are an author, NMSA may be able to offer your book to conference attendees in the NMSA bookstore at the conference. Just complete the form and mail it to NMSA with a copy of your book for review. For questions about selling your book at the conference, contact Peggy Rajala at prajala@nmsa.org.

What about my co-presenters?
When you return your Presenter Agreement Form, you will be able to add co-presenters to your session. After we receive these forms, letters and registration forms will be mailed to all added co-presenters.
When will I know when I am scheduled to present?
The deadline to submit your Presenter Registration Form is July 18, 2008. After this deadline, we download presenter registration information. We use this information to schedule your sessions around any ticketed sessions you may have purchased and place your sessions in rooms with the Audio/Visual equipment you order. It is for this reason that it is important to register by the July 18th deadline. After this day we will begin scheduling conference sessions. As soon as the schedule is completed, we will send you an e-mail with your specific session details. We will also mail you a letter with this information.
