PDF Version
National Middle School Association was presented with a 2007 American Business Award during the June 11 gala in New York City. Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars," The American Business Awards, also known as the Stevie Awards, are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. The Association was selected from more than 2,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry that were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories.
More than 700 executives from across the country were in attendance at the annual ceremony that took place at the Marriott Marque on Time Square. The event was hosted by Larry Wilmore of TV's THE DAILY SHOW with JON STEWART and The Office.
"We are thrilled and honored that the American Business Awards have chosen to recognize the work of National Middle School Association," said Sue Swaim, NMSA executive director. "We are a small staff, but have very big hearts for the work that this association does for middle level education. I am pleased that the dedication and hard work of the employees of NMSA has been applauded by such a prestigious organization as the American Business Awards."
The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar® and the Emmy.
