National Middle Grades Research Project
The National Middle Grades Research Project leaders invite practitioners and researchers to join the current group of over 50 researchers and practitioners who are investigating the use of common planning time in middle level education. The final training session for the National Common Planning Time Project will be held at the beginning of the National Middle School Association Conference in Denver on Thursday October 30th, 8 a.m. - 12 noon, in room 610, Denver Convention Center.

Participants attending the training workshop will:
- Receive the protocols for data collection (interview & observation protocols), researcher's field manual, and draft Institutional Review Board template
- Engage in professional development for use of protocols
- Be given a draft review of research literature on CPT
- Receive information regarding publication opportunities, e.g., Handbook of Research in Middle Level Education
