Invitation from NMSA Executive Director
On behalf of the staff and board of trustees of National Middle School Association, I would like to cordially invite you to attend our 35th Annual Conference and Exhibit, October 30–November 1, 2008, at the Colorado Convention Center in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Last year, more than 8,500 educators attended the conference in Houston, and we are expecting another large and enthusiastic crowd in Denver.
The conference is known for being a forum for networking, sharing, and inspiring middle level educators. This year will offer you all of these opportunities and more, as we work to ensure that each student receives a challenging and relevant education. The sessions will focus on the 14 characteristics of effective middle level schools to ensure that we meet the needs of students with care and concern. Additionally, we will highlight education in today's digital age and explore how to move all schools from good to great.
Our staff and dozens of educators have carefully planned this event over the past two years to include three powerful general sessions, 400 featured and topical sessions, school visits, action labs, and an exhibit hall with more than 450 booths.
Please join us in Denver for three full days of best practices, research, and professional learning designed for everyone involved in middle level education.
Betty Edwards, Ed.D
Executive Director
