| Another great conference | | 2/6/2008 7:52 PM | | Posted by Al Summers | Return | All right, I know this is an annual conference blog, but reader Lynn Scearcy mentioned another conference and I thought it appropriate to write briefly about it. NMSA does a smaller conference in the spring. We call it Middle Level Essentials and this April 4-5 it will be held in Minneapolis, MN. This year's line up is unbelievable! Carol Ann Tomlinson going indepth on differentiated instruction; Janet Allen doing a full day on literacy; Katy Bainbridge and Kate Garrison presenting a balanced assessment program; and Molly Lawrence and Bob Holman doing a day and a half on standards-based science teaching. This is the first year that science will be on the Minnesota State assessment, so the science strand should be very attractive.
This year, Middle Level Essentials rises to another level thanks to a generous sponsorship from the folks at McDougal Littell. Part of this sponsorship will be used to host a reception, dinner, and keynote by Charles Beaman on Friday night.
